THE 12TH YEOSU ACADEMY OF THE LAW OF THE SEA, 2025
Yeosu Academy of the Law of the Sea 2025, an official development assistance (ODA) program of the Republic of Korea, dedicated to strengthening ocean governance capacity in developing countries
The Yeosu Academy of the Law of the Sea is an initiative, as a part of the Yeosu Project that inherited the spirit of the EXPO 2012 Yeosu Korea as well as the Yeosu Declaration, which aims to provide education and training on ocean affairs to developing countries to cope with their maritime challenges.
In this year, the 12th session of the Yeosu Academy will take place in Yeosu, South Korea, from October 20 to 31, 2025. This intensive two-week program is open to government officials, researchers, ocean policy professionals, as well as professors and graduate students from developing countries with a keen interest in ocean affairs.
In addition to offering academic and practical training on the modern law of the sea and key international and regional maritime issues, the Academy also aims to build lasting professional networks among participants.
In order to participate this year of the Yeosu Academy Session, an online application should be submitted. The application period is from July 7 to August 10, 2025.
